This has always been a cash-only business. I think I would prefer currency with dead presidents pictures on them too!
news to me!
Yeah pretty much, Bitcoins are a decentralized crypto-currency. Transactions are virtually anonymous, instantaneous, and devoid of high transfer fees associated with legacy/analog money.

There's a lot of questions about the legitimacy of the BTC. But when Visa, Mastercard, and Paypal suspended the accounts of Wikileaks.org, they turned to Bitcoins as one of the primary donation options. Ron Paul's campaign accepts Bitcoin donations as well. And its apparently legitimate enough that the CIA is very interested in Bitcoins since they can be used to send large amounts of money over seas, undetected. Even TurboTax has a section on how to leverage Bitcoins to reduce your taxes. So basically the idea is catching on.

Never want to get busted in this hobby? Bitcoins will allow you to transact money without actually having cash on you, whereas if you tried setting up an appointment using Paypal or something, that can always be traced back to the sender/receiver. Bitcoins are virtually anonymous, so as far as anybody is concerned or can prove, a provider meeting with a client is nothing more than a quick Myspace hookup.

1 BTC is worth about $14 USD right now.
I've never heard of that either and it does seem really complicated!
