Dining in Dallas

I'll be in Dallas for a few weeks beginning next Sunday. Staying in the Oak Lawn area. We'll call it "business."

Has anyone eaten at Fearings recently at RC? I was told it was a "do not miss". Also love to hear of other recommended haunts from anyone recently experienced.

All the best. And thanks in advance.
Bob's Chop House on Lemmon...if you want a primo steak...good wine selection as well.
Newport's is a fave!
I'm sure the people local to Dallas will be able to help better than me, but I've enjoyed these places. Oh and Fearing's too.

My very favorite is http://www.randywhitesbbq.com/. Far from fine dining, but it was goood.

There are lots of thread in Dallas about restaurants...I say Eddie V's in Oaklawn

In Oak Lawn there a local favorite: Luckys (home cooking).

Also nearby is a Pappadeauxs (I know you know this chain), a Ruth Chris. A little farther away is a Capitol Grille. Also in Oak Lawn is a local Salvadoran favorite, Gloria's.

There are others.

BTW, as a point of history, Oak Lawn was where Jack Ruby's bar was located.

The best sushi I've eaten since leaving Vancouver. My personal favourite is avocado rolls, which is quite simple in theory but incredibly hard to execute well. Delicious. All of the food was fresh and amazing.

Bob's Chop House was another one I loved in Dallas

Hope these help

Ate at Fearings few weeks back and yes it is fantastic his signature Tortilla soup is a must. Service was excellent, staff was relaxed not stuffy or snobbish at all, Fearing even came out and visited all the tables so I finally got to meet the man himself and chat with him for a few minutes
If you want some down home cookin' like Grandma used to make. You might want to try Celebration on W. Lovers Lane. It is very close to Love Field.
