Leaked Audio Captures Romney Asking Employers To Tell Their Employees How To Vote

This guy is just fucking shameless.

Newly-discovered audio from a conference call in June captures Mitt Romney asking business owners to urge their employees to vote for him. Romney, speaking on a call to the very conservative National Federation of Independent Business, tells a group of business owners that they should “make it very clear” how they feel about the candidates. The audio, discovered by In These Times, also captures Romney telling the business owners to “pass… along to your employees” how their jobs might be affected by who wins in November:
I hope you make it very clear to your employees what you believe is in the best interest of your enterprise and therefore their job and their future in the upcoming elections. And whether you agree with me or you agree with President Obama, or whatever your political view, I hope — I hope you pass those along to your employees. Nothing illegal about you talking to your employees about what you believe is best for the business, because I think that will figure into their election decision, their voting decision and of course doing that with your family and your kids as well.

What's wrong with that? He was encouraging Obama supporters to do the same. Everyone should be encouraged to vote, and it is important for employees to know what policies or potential policies could effect their job. That is voter education, not intimidation.

I'd be absolutely opposed to an employer saying "Vote this way, or get fired," but that is not what this is. This is good advice.

COG, you hate the president so much your objectivity has gone bye-bye.

If Obama had done this you'd go ape shit.

Employers let their employees know what they want all the time. This is nothing new and if you think Obama does not do the same with the unions you are nuts.

If Obama had said the same thing, it would be good advice. Do presume you know everything about me. The only thing I'd change would be to have them both say "And look at Gary Johnson, as well."

It's so easy to get a government ID, and I'd support them being free. But yes, you should have to prove you are an eligible voter before you vote. I don't have a problem with that. If the left is concerned about that, get ACORN and other similar groups to help out. Make them do something useful for a change.

Geez, and they call me a "whiner". Hypocrites!

There is only one real reason for opposing voter ID. You want ineligible voters to be able to vote. That is all. Otherwise, you "compassionate" liberals would be assisting these poor, downtrodden people to get the ID. You'll give them money, phones, food, rent, utilities, etc. etc. But help them get a legal ID to vote? No, THAT'S ASKING TOO MUCH! THAT'S TOO MUCH WORK AND A BURDEN.

Isn't that what community organizers are for?

Hypocrites. Voter fraud promoting hypocrites.

Good video, Iffy, but they will pay no attention. They'll call it a "hate" video.
