preface - my computer is 3 years old, but it's up to date. I mostly use Chrome and Firefox for browsing.
It seems like every 2-3 times I go to Seeking, it takes ages to load the pictures and profiles, if it even completes. I've tried both browsers, deleted cookies/cache, sign out, sign back in, and it still takes ages to load all the pics and profiles.
It's so frustrating! I thought it was because I didn't have a paid sub, but it is happening now too after I paid up for 30 days.
I've also tried to allow notifications and block them (including popp up blockers), but it seems like neither of those are the culprit.
Anyone else experiencing this? I know it's quite possibly my old ass computer, but maybe there's a trick that I'm not aware of?
Try your phone not connected to wifi. I have had issues before, usually due to their server being slow etc. Are you running anything else? You didn't mention anti-virus, anti Spyware, VPN, firewall. If you are running anti-virus, sometimes the throughput is slowed by all the scripts of a site and your anti-virus software scanning everything, try momentarily disabling it, if that speeds it up consider adding the site to the white list or ignore list, try using incognito on crome, and if none of that works do a speed test and see if your isp is just slowing you down. I dumped Comcast the moment starlink went live and have seen speeds of 300+ mbps. Costs less than the avg cell phone for equipment and about the same cost $120 or $150 a month, and now I'm told you can go get it right from best buy.
Thanks - I am not running any 3rd party AV or Spyware software other than what MS provides, no VPN, Firewall etc. I have VZ internet and it only seems to be on that site. I have added SA as a trusted site to my browsers and it still occasionally won't load the page or pictures.
I hate browsing their site on my phone, but you're right, it's worth a shot to see if maybe VZ is throttling the site.
Thanks for the advice!
No problem. Another thing to try is a VPN, you can fake your location and see if SA is throttling throughput on us ip adresses. But I mostly browse on my phone because I hate computers [
