AMP Advice

New to the hobby and seeking advice on two questions.

1. Is there a better time of day (morning, afternoon, night) to visit an AMP? Do you think the selection and/or services are better depending on when you go?

2. I am having difficulty knowing when more can be offered and how/when to bring it up (no pun intended lol). Any advice, gentlemen?
