Low down on Singapore

I was wondering if anyone can give any suggestions on hobbing in Singapore?
I going there for a week in April and would like to try it but worried about getting in a bad situation.

Feel free to PM or email me. Lee.1000@yahoo.com

Prostitution was licensed and legal when I was there several years ago. Don't know about now, but I think so. Geylang is the redlight district. Brix club in the Grand Hyatt was good for a pickup. Quality was high, too.
Really?
I didn't expect that in a city-state so strict that they deport maids who become pregnant and still cane people for what might be a misdemeanor here.

Didn't the little spoiled ass kid they cane , spray paint some car. I remember the day when people's parents in this country did that for less. Wasn't such a bad thing!

Me thinks you are talking about a China from 30 + years ago.

At that time they resucitated some things like a pretty sterile red light district. Back then I am fairly certain strip clubs were legal - and getting extras was easy - and it is possible that they decided they could make money off of it and allowed regulated prostitution as well.

(shh! I love National Geographic. AMAZING photos and stories)

I didn't see any mention of red-light districts. I'll re-read the article later.

Funny, I just wrote about my experiences in S'pore:

Depends on the experience you're looking for, but it can probably be found. Not sure that there are any strip clubs there, though. Lots of KTV bars, but those aren't strip clubs (as the term is used in America).

As a school boy that was causing all kinds of trouble on campus and in the bar districts, it left quite an impression on me: I might go to the East but I want to stay the hell out of Singapore

I am transferring to SE Asia in the very near future and am VERY much looking forward to it! Not Singapore but close!
Singapore still canes for things and the death penalty is used too but honestly, if you're not a dumbass then the law doesn't bother you (unlike the US where the cops terrorize average citizens). It's a very safe, clean place to live and if you can do w/o porn but are happy with about 10,000 Asian providers, then it's pretty close to paradise.
