I didn’t think they would win. Franklin might be the worst game day coach in college football.

PSU fans/alumni might be the most arrogant and delusional people you’ll meet.

PSUGA has a pretty wicked Magic The Gathering team.

what you don't know is that in 1998 there was another allegation off campus where the DA declined to prosecute because there were no other witnesses. unfortunately this happens often in these cases. the DA knew it wasn't winnable.

guess what Joe Paterno did? forced Sandusky out of the program. he gave Sandusky an ultimatum .. resign as DC or give up his foundation. Sandusky of course chose to retire.

Paterno did this on his gut feeling Sandusky was guilty and the time he was spending on his foundation was an issue, Paterno felt it took too much time away from football.

in 1998 Paterno forced Sanducky out of the Penn State program. that's a fact.

yet people claim Paterno ";looked the other way" in order to win. nonsense. if that was the case why did he force Sandusky out?

the 2001 incident happened because as a Penn State retiree Sandusky had the right to access the football complex, again against what Peterno wanted but he couldn't block it.

"Upon his retirement, Sandusky was awarded "both an unusual compensation package and a special designation of 'emeritus' rank that carried special privileges, including access to the university's recreational facilities."

Fuck Sanducky but it was Joe Paterno who forced him out of the program.
My name, I have spent my whole life trying to make that name mean something. And now it's gone.
—Joe Paterno, following his termination[51]

I do not [believe Joe Paterno was involved in the alleged cover-up]. And I'm viewing this strictly on the evidence, not any kind of fealty to anybody. I did not find that evidence.
—Sandusky prosecutor Frank Fina, on 60 Minutes[52]
amusing that a Texas redneck knows more about Paterno and the scandal than some yinzers do

Paterno knew exactly what Sandusky was up to. He was the most powerful person at PSU and “Happy Valley”. To try to push Sandusky off to Maryland was just kicking the can down the road. Paterno was far from virtuous here. He was protecting his legacy.

There were no winners in this saga. It will be a stain forever on PSU and Paterno. As it should be.

I do think Paterno early on did things the right way. But he turned into a megalomaniac. That’s why he stayed at PSU. He had total control. Of everything.

If Bill O’Brien would come back, they would compete for a NC.
Franklin isn’t an elite coach and when you put 105,000 in the stands for each game you deserve an elite coach, not a guy that was nobody till he had a 2 year run at Vandy.
This was the year to beat OSU and they looked like shit.

Mike Tomlin = DEI = Franklin.

Best coach, not color.
