Finally, a return to normalcy?

I didn’t have much of anything going on today, strong storms had made their way through Southern Alabama last night and into today. Once the loud and boisterous weather passed, I was left with a clear and beautiful afternoon. I have a friend who’s granddaughter was getting married this afternoon in an outdoor ceremony, I couldn’t help but think that they had chosen the day wisely. I settled in to watch The Masters Golf Tournament on tv, golf isn’t my usual thing to watch, but Augusta is certainly beautiful this time of year, the course is well manicured, the azaleas blooming, and the birds were singing everywhere, it was stunning to behold. What struck me the most was that it was live and there was a crowd there to watch it, it’s been a while since I have seen that happen... the tournament was suspended for a while on account of weather this afternoon, but I was unconcerned because I knew from experience that the storm would soon pass. I took a lot of comfort in that (and a nap, too, I think golf is boring, lol). Sure enough they came back and finished the round. I guess my point in saying all of this is that maybe the worst of the COVID storm is passed us, too... maybe things can return to normal. I pray that they can for all of us...
