Newsmax settles with smartmatic.

Pretend news source, and conspiracy news network #3, Newsmax joins OANN..aka conspiracy news network #2...while still waiting on a settlement with conspiracy news network#1-Fox News.

These big paydays being paid out to voting organizations like smartmatic, and Dominion, are likely the only reasons these assholes won't spend the next 6 months lying their asses off about voter fraud in 2004.

Then again, if it's only money and the truth vs ratings, ratings win every time.

Surprisingly the amount of money that was settled on was not disclosed by either smartmatic or Newsmax

Here's the announcement from Newsmax.

I'm surprised it's only that.

I was expecting a headline like "Newsmax celebrates silver medal in the election fraud reporting competition."

... You fellows got Salty here with better details. (me "insiders")

Reckon both sides just agreed to pick themselves up and head home.
Smartmatic was onto Newsmax for "defamation" while Newsmax's
defence was that it was just printing whatever "facts" about
Smartmatic and machines that other news outlets had mentioned.

... Smartmatic was really after a Punitive damage award $$$$$
and the Judge surely denyed them that. .... So them's the breaks.
And thus - the CONFIDENTIAL settlement was reached.

Therefore, I (and me political insiders) cannot reveal anything
about the settlement because it's Confidential. .... Sorry.

I'm sure we'll find out what happened just in time for the next election denial cycle.

But ye surely spin a good tale.
... I can give you fellows MORE information, and I'll do so Friday.
Just not concerning the settlement - 'cause it's Confidential.

At a Pre-Trial hearing, the Newsmax barrister told Judge Eric Davis
that Newsmax planned to question Smartmatic witnesses on WHY
the company had previously sought "damages" of $1.7 Billion
but was NOW onley claiming damages of $400 million. What changed??

The barrister for Smartmatic told the Judge that the actual
"lost revenue" due to Newsmax's "damage to the reputation" is at
a value of $369.8 Million.

So where they were seeking 1.7 Billion - now the"damage" is only
about 400 million - a drop of over a Billion dollars.

What Changed - to make Smartmatic now seek LESS MONEY??

... The answer is surely the fact that three Smartmatic Executives
have been have been INDICTED on Criminal Charges for a scheme
to pay more than $1 Million in Bribes to put Smartmatic machines
in the Philippines for election use.

... You lads can draw yer-own conclusions as to WHY Smartmatic
would be trying to bribe their-way into use of their machines
for elections.

... Reckon that Smartmatic begged Newsmax to "settle" this thing.
If Newsmax happens to mention the alleged bribery indictments
in Court to the jury - this case is over.

... So with the settlement, what I th - ---- Sorry, I can't comment.
The settlement is CONFIDENTIAL.

If Smartmatic is being investigated and indicted overseas then a settlement should stop depositions and subpoenas. I’m guessing that there is something that both parties want to hide away from the public.
