Seeking an experienced attorney here in the Houston area. Not looking to barter.

Do yourself a favor and google a few Defamation lawyers. Call them until you find one who will give you 15 minutes over the phone. Quickly and concisely give the lawyer the facts, then listen to see if that lawyer feels you have a winnable case.

There's some tricky issues (what constitutes a public figure, malice, etc.). Some rather simple ones, like truth being a defense and people being able to share am opinion about you.

I suggest you write out a two-three paragraph synopsis before calling so you can stick to the facts.
