Perfect in call location?

New Orleans Area Poll:
What do you think is the perfect area for a small in call apt? It needs to be safe and easily located...but what about pizzazz? Is it important to you? As a girl, I want to get a sexy little old world studio in the quarter.. but things like parking for clients might be an issue. What kind of place do YOU feel most comfortable? Excited to hear your thoughts as to the kind of place you would like to escape to. I am shopping now for the first of Feb.
Based on your interests, I'd say the Marigny or Bywater would be the neighborhoods for you!
I love that area..do you think most clients would be comfortable going there? Bywater is sketchy for some. Am I wrong?
I've seen providers at their bywater incall had no problem. I guess like anywhere try to get on a good block.

Bywater is "gentrifying" which means it's full of white kids in their late-20's driving up real estate prices, but crime can still be a problem--some of it is a bit sketchy. Same thing happened in my part of mid-city post-Katrina according to my neighbors. Now you can't get a place in my neighborhood @ anything like a reasonable price.

If you're going to be living here & working here full-time, I'm not sure I'd choose the Fr. Qtr. The spike in violent robberies-followed-by-beatings in the smaller less traveled parts now has a lot of people nervous. Plus, access issues mean you'd largely be dependent on tourist clients who are staying there & can walk to you. Locals have a hard time getting into the Qtr. & finding parking, esp. this time of year (through M-G).

Bywater may be your best bet in terms of affordability-but-decent. Metairie might also be an option. I was looking for a small studio for a "friend" who also wants to relocate her business to NOLA for about half of her time & Metairie was the best value for her.

I saw a couple of places on Canal Blvd. toward Navarre for rent which looked OK from the outside. Locals who have lived here forever & girls who have done this awhile will have to tell if those places right on a public thoroughfare make sense or not--I'd like them b/c constant changing of cars parked out front wouldn't raise a single eyebrow overall, although the other people in the house or immediately adjacent might figure it out. But ease of access, relatively easy parking for street parking, public enough that you could scream or get help fast, discreet enough b/c who pays attention to a different car or a single girl in a nice ground-floor apt. in a decent part of town?, etc.

Good luck! Hope you find something you like which is affordable.

There's some gated apartments in Metarie - don't know how much they run but a very successful ECCIE escort used to have one out there!

I used to live in a nice reasonably priced incall in the garden district and also off magazine street....try driving by those areas for discrete and safe shotguns that have for rent signs outside
There are plenty of providers in the Marigny and Bywater, though I definitely suggest you keep on the riverside of St. Claude!

If clients are what you're after, find a place where a client can park and not have to walk several blocks especially in high crime areas. I pass up on a lot of providers who have their incall location in the French Quarter.(I passed on one from Texas this weekend who I been wanting to see) Just not worth it to pay $15-$20 to park and then walk 5 or 6 blocks in crowds and do the same thing over again when the session is over.
Too much work. I get my exercise at the gym, not on Iberville Street. Make it as accessible as possible. I ended up seeing a provider in Metairie.

French Quarter ain't bad - walking ain't tough. There are trade-offs. It's more of a hassle but there's more to do down there. I certainly wouldn't let a walk stop me from seeing a good lady.

One gal down there uses the bars as part of her screening. She'll meet a guy for a drink and then - back to her place. It's not that bad.
