Any Deer hunters?

Deer season is approaching and I'm wanting to cook a deer roast till it's tender & falling part.

If there are any deer hunters in SA, please PM me.

How do you cook your deer meat?
I soak my venison meat in dark beer, then use my crock pot to cook for 6 to 8 hrs.

once I let it marinate for a couple of hours in beer.
I then cook it with all the veggies in my slow cooker over night.

My kitchen is my domain. I'm a darn good cook.

It's been years since I have had venison...stopped hunting (4 legged animals) after I joined the military!! Still chasing after the elusive 2 legged kind though!! ;-)
venison is soo delish!
is there anywhere it could be purchased?
i know theres a spot off nakoma, but i think you have to actually take the deer to them.

Its actually illegal to buy or sale wild game. But you can donate or give it away as long as its legally shot and tagged. A lot of women,s shelters will take it and I feel great when I get to do that.

I will be going this thanksgiven weekened so just PM me if you want any meat. (Except the backstrap cuz I like the backstrap).
there is a place in Eden texas that will do send it packed on dry ice right your door... the only hunting you have to do is hunt for the postman....
they even sell bison brisket. trust me once you try bison you will never want a beef brisket again.

My family and I eat a lot of venison since I hunt. The great thing about venison is it is the leanest red meat you can find and it is loaded with protein. Female doctors recommend it for women for those reasons plus the fact that it is hormone free. Store bought beef is loaded with those nasty hormones and in many cases is the reason that women have hormonal imbalances. Of course the bunny huggers will not tell you this.
I suspect that the places that are selling venison are selling axis deer meat. I have not had axis but I have been told it is very very close to beef in texture and taste. Axis deer graze much like cattle do and native whitetail browse and do not eat grass. So there you have it, more information than you would ever need to know or want to know about venison!
