Memphis/Nashville!

I'm seriously considering visiting Memphis and/or Nashville in the next month or so! I would love some suggestions on where to stay and what there is to do when I'm not in appointments. I have passed through both Memphis and Nashville before but have never stayed in the area before.

What is LE activity like in the area? What are some great places to eat? What areas of town are considered a no go? When would be a good time to visit?

And because no thread is truly complete without a few nice pics...

For Nashville, Brentwood is a good area. LE is pretty aggressive in the Nashville area, but you should be okay if you keep a low profile. Stay off the hotel Wifi. Supposedly, some of the hotels monitor that.
For Memphis, the I-240/Poplar area is the best IMO. Also, the Wolfchase area is good. Stay away from Sycamore View.
I hope you can make it. I'm in Nashville.

Ditto on what stunt said about areas and hotel wifi.

Hope u stop in Memphis, you could stop here on the way to Nashville
Yes, if you are coming to Tennessee, you might as well do both cities. Maybe even Chattanooga and Knoxville if you get enough interest there.

I recommend take your own internet EVERYWHERE if you're gonna stay in hotels but if for some reason you don't can't definitely have a good VPN service too either way.

It looks like I'll be visiting Memphis this week Thursday-Saturday! Thank you everyone for all your help! Definitely still open to any advice/suggestions.

Hopefully, you will decide to visit Nashville and stay in the Brentwood area soon!
On your mobile device, you can disable wifi. If you do that, it will use your provider's network instead of the hotel's.
I hope you'll come to Nashville, too.
