Quote of the Decade

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America 's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government can not pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America 's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, "the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

DaliLama, you know that you cannot say anything bad or contradictory about our president or you will be labeled a racist. Even though most of his supporters hated Bush and were never called a racist.
The Emperor has NO budget!

It was funny today, I was up at the main Spec's Liqueur off of Smith St. I was shopping for coffee and found an "Obama Blend" coffee. I thought to my self... "Self, I bet its fruity and a nutty that then just makes you want to go out and spend money that you don't have."

Has anyone else noticed that the Tea Party is now the new George Bush?

Only to a Liberal would a balanced budget be a radical idea.

99% of the politicians ar two faced of course. The solution to the problem is quite simple yet no one has mentioned it....drastically reduce or cut off foreign aide.

My favorite argument against the balanced budget idea has been, "We don't need an amendment to make sure we do our job."

Really? Fucking really? Apparently you do!!!

People need to re-educate themselves about the roles of the three branches of government and remember which branch actually CONTROLS the purse strings and which party is in control of such branch when these surpluses and debts occur.

I feel quite certain it was nothing more than an oversight on your part! Surely you would not have intentionally tried to mislead us into believing that "the guy at the helms" only work experience was as a community organizer in "Chicago."
