Managing Your Client List

I know this is a bit of a touchy subject, but ladies, how do you manage your client lists? Personally I used mine as a data base.

I’d also like to hear from the client’s side. What are your thoughts on ladies keeping your phone and email information? Most of you I’m sure would prefer none of the information kept, but where do the ease of screening again verses your email or phone, hopefully your hobby phone, number on a ladies phone intersect?

Here’s the link and my blog entry today on the subject:

Link: http://www.hookerincorporated.com/20...r-client-list/

Your Client List is your entire business in other words wherever your phone is that’s where your World Headquarters is so protect, manage and use it well.

Managing the List

I used my Client List as a screening tool as well as a data base. If a call came in from someone that had contacted me before, I knew it because I saved every call, email and text that came in. NOTE: IF THEY HAVE NOT BEEN SCREENED I NOTED THAT IN THE WAY I SAVED IT, but we’ll into that in the below under Client Types. I wanted to know who they were for three, very good reasons. One, I didn’t want to have to re-screen every client. As far as I’m concerned a client’s phone number or email was their account number. I remembered most of my clients, but I can’t be for sure based on just a voice over the phone that they are the person that I saw. Two, I wanted to know if I had a time waster on my hands. If he’d contacted me before and no appointment had come of it, I wanted to know. I had this one timewaster that called me twice and wanted to talk about his now deceased wife financially dominated him. You know, details and all; I don’t want to hear that shit. It’s his fantasy not mine. Can’t you just picture him getting off while we were talking? The third time he called, I knew he was calling for some free phone sex and knew not to answer the phone. And three, I wanted my Client List to be a database. Not only can I not remember each and every client and where they live, but sometimes I just want to target certain subsets of my clients for marketing. For instance, if I was going to travel to Baton Rouge, I wanted to be able to access all Baton Rouge clients without combing through my entire Client List to try and remember who all I wanted to reach out to that I’ll be visiting.

Account Number Nomenclature:

Nomenclature is the devising or choosing of names of things especially in science or a discipline. It is very important that you use the same format every time because your smart phone or computer will. In other words, how you’ve categorized him, his name then a space then a dash then a space then his P411 ID, use the spaces every time. Decide how you want it and stick to it. I always put spaces before and after the dashes to make it easier to read much the same as dashes in phone numbers.

NOTE: AS SOON AS YOU HANG UP, TEXT OR EMAIL YOUR POTENTIAL CLIENT SAVE HIS INFORMATION AND NOTE IF HE’S SCREENED OR NOT, because you won’t be able to remember for sure – all of the information he sent you, e.g., name, number, email, kink (limit shop talk until he’s screened) and city that you have. If he contacts you through P411 / review site or gives you his phone number in an email or PM, save that along with his handle or P411 information and NOTE IF HE IS SCREENED OR NOT SCREENED – I can’t say this enough.

See Client Types below for the exact nomenclature I used to save clients’ information.

Reasons to Categorize Your Client List and How to Use the Database:

Categorizing your Client List makes life easier on you. If they are categorized, you can target your marketing that you will need to do from time to time for various reasons. Without over marketing, I suggest once a month AT MOST, some good reasons are:

  • If you want to tour another region like South Louisiana like I did all the time, all you have to do is type in BR for Baton Rouge. Then NOLA for New Orleans. Then HMA for Houma. Then LC for Lake Charles. Then LF for Lafayette. And then Beau for Beaumont. And boom, you have all your contacts in all six towns in one place to make sending marketing emails to them a breeze.
  • If you get a new toy for your bad little BDSM and D/s clients, all you have to do is type in BDSM and all those clients are in one list to market to.
  • New pictures? Send kink specific photos to the BDSM crowd, and to all of your home base clients. New pictures are always a business booster.
  • Out of town clients that you haven’t heard from in a while that probably saw other ladies the last time / few times they were in town. Same thing – Hi, how are you, have you seen my newest pictures or felt my new toy…………….use your imagination.
  • Is your business a bit slow? Use your list to advertise time of year specials like your fake birthday or something. I CAN’T STRESS THIS ENOUGH – DON’T DO THIS REGULARLY!!! Try reaching out in a different way before you go price slashing. Nothing says unsexy like broke and desperate.
  • Privately advertise to your hair and nails clients (Clients that you have discounted for one reason or another) that are price conscious to drum up local business when things are bit slow or you have nothing else to do. Since these are price sensitive clients anyway, you can advertise specials to them on an as needed basis WITHIN REASON.
  • At regular intervals like wishing them Happy New Year, hope you are surviving the heat or whatever other plausible explanation you can come with for reaching out.
  • You get a new incall.
  • You get a new doubles partner.
Categories I used:

  • BDSM – Bondage, Discipline,Sadomasochism – to easily market new toys, BDSM furniture or a new slave.
  • OOT – Out of town clients that travel to Houston for business – to market to clients that haven’t called me in a while even so I know they visit weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.
  • H/N – Hair and nails client (Single hour client that I saw at a discounted rate for whatever reason.) – These guys don’t necessarily mind being marketed to. They are easy money if you decide you want to run a special but don’t advertise it publically.
  • Tour Areas – BR for Baton Rouge, etc.

Client Types

NOTES:

  • I only note kinks. You can assume GFE – DON’T ASK!!!!!!!! – if he doesn’t hint around about wanting something else. If they are into a specific kink, they will usually bring that up. After he’s screened, you can discuss his needs AS BROADLY AS POSSIBLE. If he’s not screened, be cute about how you say “We’ll discuss that after we get you screened.” If you’re not into it or just don’t want to, try suggesting a lady that is. You never know who he talks to and about what. He may tell his buddy how sweet you were.
  • As outlined under screening, if someone contacts you via email and says they are John from P411, MAKE THEM PM YOU THORUGH THE SCREENING OR REVIEW SITE’S PM SYSTEM AND REFERENCE EITHER THE EMAIL OR PHONE NUMBER THE CONTACTED YOU FROM.

IT’S BEEN KNOWN TO HAPPEN THAT LAW ENFORCEMENT OR OTHERWISE UNDESIREABLE CLIENTS WILL USE A KNOWN POSTERS HANDLE OR P411 ID IN THE HOPES THAT YOU WILL NOT KNOW TO MAKE THEM CONTACT YOU THROUGH THE SITES PM SYSTEM.
In town clients:

If John contacted you through P411:

Not Screened: John Doe – John-10-A-1234 – N/S

Screened: John Doe – John-10-A-1234
If John contacted you through TER or ECCIE:

Not Screened:John Doe – HANDLE – TER – N/S
Screened: John Doe – HANDLE – TER
If John contacted you by phone, text or email:

Not Screened:John Doe – N/S
(Note: There is no screening info as you haven’t screened him yet.)

Screened: John Doe – References

(Note: References, Employment, Other)

Clients with a Kink:

If John likes BDSM note it and continue the nomenclature as above:

Not Screened: BDSM – John Doe – References – N/S

Screened: BDS – John Doe – Refernces

Out of Town Clients that Travel to You:

Same thing as with kinks above:

Not Screened: OOT – City – John Doe – References – N/S

Screened: OOT – City – John Doe – References

(Note: If you develop enough clients in New York, you may decide to tour there.)

Clients in Towns You Tour:

Same thing as with kinks above:

Not Screened: BR – John Doe – References – N/S

Screened: BR – John Doe – References

(Note: If they have a kink, I normally didn’t put it in the client’s name. I always took an extensive toy bag with me when I traveled. And since they weren’t in my home city, I wasn’t going to waste my time or his marketing new toys to him when he lives in another town.

Some Do’s and Don’ts:

  • Do make it personal. Include their name and something you can think of about them as long as it’s not too personal or forced:

    An Example e-Mail:

RE: I’ll be in your neck of the woods next week

    Hello John,

I was listening to two guys talk about going hunting in Louisiana yesterday. It reminded me of you and that romantic cabin you have and the fun we had in your duck blind. I’ll be in in Baton Rouge next Wednesday, January the 5th through Thursday, January the 6th and Houma next Thursday afternoon, January the 6th through Friday, January 7th. I’m just starting to lay out my visit so, as usual, I can always extend my stay in Baton Rouge for some special fun.

I hope all is well, and I look forward to sending some quality time with you!

    Muah!

    O –

    Your website

    Your phone number

And attach a small photo of yourself.

    Or

RE: I have a new toy to torture you with

    Hello John,

I just know you’ve been naughty again, and I’ve got just the thing for you. Before I turn your little bottom bright red, I have a new, butter-soft, suede, red flogger to warm you up with. Tell me how naughty you’ve been…………………..

    Mistress Olivia

    Your website

    Your phone number

Picture of new toy or yourself
  • Keep it light.
  • Copy and paste the bulk of the email, but make sure to NOT grab the first sentence that you personalized and copy that to the next person.
  • If you are going to do a mass email – AND I DON’T RECOMMEND THAT – be sure to send it to you only in the To: field and BCC (blind copy) all the clients emails. Otherwise, they can see all the email addresses of everyone else.
  • Don’t mass email – This merits being on both the Do and the Don’t lists.
  • Don’t put their emails in the To: field – This merits being on both lists too.
Protecting the List

You must protect yourself and your clients so you must take reasonable efforts to secure the data against loss or being confiscated. In a perfect world for clients they wouldn’t have any information anywhere on the internet and in no working girls’ phones, but that’s not the world we live in. You need to protect your business which is your Client List, streamline your marketing and eliminate re-screening clients every time they want to see you. It will frustrate them even more than it frustrates you to be re-screened. So take reasonable precautions to protect their information while at the same time greasing the skids for smooth and profitable commerce. If you lose or break your phone, you have lost countless hours of work and potential income. You must be able to know who is calling you and you need to be able to market to your client base.

Some steps to take:

  • For what it’s worth, password protect your phone and computer.
  • Back your contacts up on your contacts in your email and also on to a jump drive at least once a week. I did it daily. With triple redundancy, you are far less likely to lose your information.
  • DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE INTO YOUR INCALL OR AN OUTCALL IF IT’S A NEW CLIENT. Keep it locked in your car, and don’t unlock it for any reasons if you are confronted by law enforcement.
  • DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE INTO A NO-TEL HOTEL – EVER EVEN IF YOUR CLIENT IS AN EXISTING CLIENT.
  • Avoid taking your phone into your incall or to an outcall of an existing client if you can avoid it. Transfer your phone to another line.

Perhaps. Tell me then, how do you know you've screened clients when they contact you to see you again if you don't save their information? Seems scary to me.

Every guy hobbying DOES have a burner, non-traceable phone and unlinked, anonymous email, right?

I'll also bet a lot of the ladies that NEVER keep contact info also don't re-screen clients every time they see them. Of course, I guess clients could PM you through P411 or here, but..............

There are a slew of issues with keeping up with a database, the first being is that you actually have one. The second is that many gents may not like the idea of being in one. But the truth is,we are all in some kind of database of some kind...every time we order something on the internet, we are stored somewhere.

Did you build your database yourself or are you using something commercial that is geared to this industry. If it is a commercial database, some of them are stored on servers outside the US and you can access on any computer, some level of safety with that.

I imagine that storing numbers in a phone can get scary, the number of calls we get. I only store those numbers that I want to avoid, or those who are dangerous. But more and more gents are asking to contact them when you are in their town and for those, I maintain a mailing list based on cities.

Seems like quite a bit of work. I do hope you rely on more than just passwords on your phone and computer, encryption is a must.

Also mind elaborating on these 2 points?

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE INTO A NO-TEL HOTEL – EVER EVEN IF YOUR CLIENT IS AN EXISTING CLIENT.
Avoid taking your phone into your incall or to an outcall of an existing client if you can avoid it. Transfer your phone to another line.

As for the OP, I just assume the girl keeps my info. No big deal since all my communication is done via burner accounts/walk away e-mail address.
I don't keep client lists. I get rid of all clients information. No reason for it to be lying around.

I know it is not the same thing—a lady’s set of contacts is typically a lot larger than a guy’s set. However the same philosophical issues apply to guys keeping data on the ladies they see. A lot depends on what a guy is looking for—if he is all about variety there is not much of an issue—nothing needs to be kept on any device. If he likes repeat visits, that’s a bit different since it is a pain have to refind the info each time.

For me, I usually make initial contact via P411, D-C, or here so I don’t have to have anything on my computer. I have a fully functioning e-mail account linked to them that is used for essentially nothing else. After meeting her once or twice, if I think I want to revisit on a more regular basis it also means there is some added level of trust between us.

At that point it becomes more of what Ainsley described. I will start using a different, more private e-mail and usually a real phone number on both sides. We will stay in contact more often, exchanging an occasional friendly non-work related e-mail (and in reality we NEVER talk electronically about her work at that point). From then on I have discovered (1) there is no need to write anything that wouldn’t be written between friends, so nothing I would be embarrassed about being seen. And (2), I’ve never been rescreend by those ladies, because it is essentially a continual “screening”.

I completely understand this does not fit what everyone is looking for—I never claimed to be typical—but it has worked well for me.

I am against all "record keeping", "data base" or any other such records.

If the client is a regular then you should know his info or at least be familiar with it if the number pops up as an incoming call/txt. If he is not a regular, do your screening or whatever and delete the info after the appointment. If he becomes a repeat or regular you will remember. If not you have no info stored about him.

If I found out about a provider with records and data bases, I would avoid an appointment with her forever.

At the end of the day, the ladies are saving your contact info for ease of commerce. This is just a more organized way of doing it. Besides, like I said, I've gotten a call from a wife and so have many, many other ladies in this business. I even know one lady that got dragged into a very messy divorce so let's not go around acting like the women are the only ones saving contact info. If you want to be perfectly safe from your wife's wrath stay home. If you want to be reasonably safe from your wife's wrath, use a Hushmail email account, hide your IP and internet tracks and don't use a phone.
