Moving down to Corpus Safe areas

So far my health is doing good and I am really wanting to move to Corpus area. I am from Austin but the cost of living is crazy unless you have a roomate or so. I love to fish and plan to be a Medical asst in the area.
Right now I am in the Killeen area by Ft hood army base. Cost of living cheap and I can fineish my 3 certifications before Christmas.
So I am asking which area is safe to move to not looking to get hurt coming in from working a overnight shift. What do people do when there is a hurricane evacuation? I do have family in Austin which will let me stay with them.

Stay out of the Bluff by SPI
People from the Bluff will tell you they love it. I personally don’t like the area. Generally, the area from SPID to Yorktown and Rodd Field to Staples is a good area. Lots of apartments, houses, places to eat and access to other areas of the city is easy.
Let us know when you get here, maybe come for a visit first.
Very few providers in this area. You would do good.
