Miz Piggy Van DePuke NOW has to find a REAL job !!

Glad to see the SECOND loss of a powerful political office for this career politician ! She's had her snoot into the public trough for way to long. Now she can get to work out here in the REAL world or just keep leeching off of her in laws at Dixie Flag company. At least Mayor Taylor now knows for real who her enemies are within her own party, like Nelson " I'm another tax-and-spend politician for life, how 'bout them street cars " Wolf.

She should have stuck to the issues and not smear tactics.

Interesting how the Mayor and the Police Union will get along. That could make a close bond with the City Manager.

Happy to see the results of this race. Supported Taylor, we don't need another
politician who wants to be a star of the national news. Rather have a star of the
local news.

Really didn't trust Van de Putte after her and her fellow pols raced off to Oklahoma
10 years ago as part of some political stunt.

I believe she went to New Mexico. Don't need a mayor who keeps running after the election is over.
It was hilarious to listen to her not give a simple yes or no answer to her implications that Taylor was soft on crime.
At least Taylor won't have any trouble keeping her friends close, and her enemies closer.

Her ads were so hypocritical. There she was bragging how she "gets things done" and how she "reaches across the isle" when her actions as a state senator back in 2003 illustrated that she is not capable of either of those traits. The election showed the voters already knew that and never forgot it. She was behind in the early voting and stayed behind to the end of the election. All that money and all those big supporters behind her just could not get around her own blatant hypocrisy.

You can bet a lifer like her already has her eyes on another run for office, either Mayor or something else. She's bucking for an "elevation to the national stage" like Communist "Mr. Streetcar " Castro did.

Well, next year we have state and national congressional elections as well as county elections. City elections are only two years away. We shall see.

The name calling and fat shaming is pretty sad, Lengua.

You do realize that Taylor won with the support of the for-profit 1604 mega church crowd, right? They backed her mainly for her opposition to the NDO. That NDO banned discrimination in city contracts for gays AND veterans. This veteran didn't serve to protect bigots. I served to protect all Americans. Taylor is in opposition to those values.

Go ahead, though. Celebrate the bigot's victory. We veterans won't mind.

Too bad you drank the cool aid and now realize that you got played. I have Christian values, as it appears Mayor Taylor does. So this VETERAN WILL celebrate her win over a career tax-and-spend two time loser liberal than RAN away from her work when she was a Senator. And no. I don't mind either. Have a happy 4th of July !!!
