Diamonds

Diamonds.

The dumbest gift ever given.
Man made are just as brilliant. Just as hard. When she's gone so is the diamond.
BFS.

Never again.

However, I saw a program on the science channel called meteorite men that was entertaining.
They found a meteorite loaded with Peridot. August birthstone. This was the only meteorite ever found where the gems weren't fractured. I found the guy that's cutting them for jewelry.
I now find myself going without to have one. I will not get married again because I don't believe there is someone for me.
However it would make a nice wedding present for my daughter I think.
She watched the show with me and commented on how awesome they were. Her boyfriend was there too and farted probably. Lol. It will be a big deal to her some day though.

Oh darling, I'm an Aries born in April.
So diamonds, are definitely, my real best friends.
Hey but I bet, your daughter, will love that present, coming from her father.

So don't you, break the bank to fast... that's going to cost you.
After failing a few times, I've taken the position that jewelry, purses, lingerie, dresses, etc., are too personal for me to successfully choose. So far, the women in my life have agreed with me, and have been content to receive $$ so they can pick out what they want.

I know, I know, it may seem like a copout. But it works for us. They get what they want, and I know they get what they want. And it saves me from wasting time shopping for something they won't like. And it saves them from pretending they like what I got. Because, for the most part, our tastes are so different, I'll never succeed.

Being an August baby myself I just love Peridot and I have several beautiful pieces. I must say they go great with my eyes as well lol. Although I do still love diamonds, well ok maybe I just have a fondness for all fine jewelry lol.
I'm partial to pearls. Also, June baby. Do you think there's something there?

I'm not fond of diamonds, and I must be one of the rare women who aren't. They're shiny and all, but so is a bass boat. I prefer something with color and oomph. Cameos, pearls and opals mostly.

I went with them, because they were here visiting Austin and we went to the outlet malls. I watched my niece while they shopped. I witnessed the emasculation of my brother. Here he had thought he was doing something right and she not only wanted to swap the damn thing, but wasn't even truly grateful for the gift.

What a bitch...

And I just thought, "I would have banged a REALLY hot chick instead of buying that purse".
I remember the good old days when my wife bought coach bags.
