Book ban lawmaker “very sad” that a parent is using his law to ban the “sex-ridden” Bible

A Utah parent has challenged the Bible under a state law banning “pornographic or indecent” material in *******. The law has been used to remove books by mostly LGBTQ+ and Black authors from shelves.
--
“Incest, onanism, bestiality, prostitution, genital mutilation, fellatio, dildos, rape, and even ***********,” the parent, who noted that they have actually read the Bible, wrote. “You’ll no doubt find that the Bible, under Utah Code Ann. § 76-10-1227, has ‘no serious values for ******’ because it’s pornographic by our new definition.”

Funny how these people that make absurd rules and laws have a really hard time following those exact rules and laws when it applies to them.

Religious fanatics always think that "non-believers" are the problem and that laws should protect fanatics from "truth" - aka "dangerous ideas" in their fanatical nomenclature.

How sad for him. It's almost like banning books you don't like personally has negative effects on other people...
...not that he'll learn anything.

Bro you do understand that these books aren't banned from existence. Just from government ran, public school curriculum... Bible has been banned from public schools for many moons...
Is the book banned? Or is it just a defacto 'religion/state' kind of thing? Because I find it hard to believe that the book isn't actually banned if there is a lawsuit about banning it.

If it is a defact or 'we don't make people read the book', then it would still qualify as something that COULD be banned, which is what this person is trying to do.
