Newbie question: why the reluctance to share donation amount?

It is rare to see a review showing donation amount. Usually someone says “flipped, negotiated standard negotiation, started with the activites”

Is it rude to provide donation amount? Are reviewers shy of others making fun of them for over donating? I for one want to make sure that my donation is fair but not foolishly over generous. I also don’t want to miss out on a service by settling on to low of a donation.

Please help me understand this part if the reviews. I have more to write, and want to follow guidelines and also avoid breaking social conventions.

You can include it in the ROS section if you wish.
UC, thanks. While I can put it in ROS or a private link, should I provide it all? Given that donation amounts are hidden from non-premium users, I get the feeling there is something wrong with the practice, like ECCIE tolerates it, but doesn’t encourage it. So I’m trying to understand why people avoid discussing the donation, which is something I really appreciate knowing as a newbie. At the same time, I want to know if a gentleman’s code is to not discuss the donation amount, which would be ironic given that these same gentlemen are writing the most intimate descriptions of the providers naughty bits and the timing and type of sensations of their orgasmic climaxes.

The rate used to be part of the standard template but it was removed in the wake of the BP seizure many years ago. That and other changes were implemented to keep the site within certain legal boundaries I would guess.

Guys can include it in ROS and it's acceptable to do so. However, most guys don't. Probably some just forget. Others probably think it protects them from legal recourse not to mix activities and money exchange. It's a pain in the butt when it's not included.
Most everyone falls in love with their Chinese massage therapist , therefore is considered a love offering and not discussed unless the tip is too small, then you will no longer have privilege of their love and probably will be asked to not come back
Familiarize yourself with the relatively new Tejas Felony Solicitation law.

I post amounts in the ROS so it is clear to others what transacted between myself and a provider.

What many do not realize is the amount of messages we get from accounts that have just been created asking who did you pay what did you do and for how much...

Do you honestly think we will answer you? You may be LE, a shop owner, etc.

I have received many inquiries from accounts created in 2010, 2015, etc with little to no posting history!
You can only guess who these accounts belong to.

So understand when you pm someone asking for who and what you did and for how much, there is going to be hesitation.

This is a community group of sharing information and should not be just a one way street of information.

TT, and all....

Eccie changed it's format late summer 2019 due to the Fosta/Sesta laws that the Feds passed. Were those passed as a result of the Backpage situation? That's a discussion for elsewhere.

Since then rates are premium content for which there's a specific guideline described in the guidelines and are not allowed in the open.

By the way, since that time, a couple of states have passed additional laws directed at hobby. Most recently Oklahoma.

TheeThroatgoat_
is a new member and I've encouraged her to look around to get the "feel" of the site. She has a couple excellent questions above that I'll answer.

ROS is the men's only section of reviews which the ladies simply do not have access to. Also, guy's without premium access do not have access either.

OH2 is the nickname of another social board which is actually: OurHome2
Quite a few Eccie guys and gals are also members on that board.

Last for all, there will be a quiz on the guidelines later for which the worst score gets to pick up my bar tab (which includes ECG) at the Ship. Warning, we went past 500 at a Fayetteville club last year.

OK, seriously, in the guidelines, the image guideline and the signature guidelines were added just after FOSTA/SESTA.
Also at the top of various forums are staff instructions in the "sticky" section which are also guidelines as well. I suggest folks review those from time to time.
