Search engine limitations?

Are there any limitations or restrictions on the search function? Seems like I put in phone numbers, in varying formats, and never get a hit. I did this a bit ago and when I tried the name it brought up a post containing the number exactly as I'd entered it. Seems like I always end up having to post an ISO post for info. Thanks.

Yeah, when searching numbers on here it seems to work best if you leave out the dashes between the numbers.

Try searching in this format... 999 999 9999

That does seem to work better. Not sure if I tried that before or not... Thanks.
