Respect

You know, I recently moved to Central AR out of spite. I've worked in management for years for big name companies. I had recently recently gotten promoted, and after 15 years and the biggest promotion of my life, I realized that I was working for terrible people. Greedy, money hungry, and absolutely zero regard for their employees or customers. So after all these years working for "the man", I quit my job, packed my bags, left everything and everyone that I know, and moved to open up my own business.

I can honestly say this has been a very humbling experience, but it makes me respect all of those people that go out on their own and work for themselves. All of you providers out there don't know if the phone is going to ring today (well, except maybe Selena :-) ), and you take that chance to do what you love to do. I just wanted to show some respect where respect is due - thank you for all that you do!

As with any other occupation or profession, "professional respect" is "earned" before "deserved".
As far as personal respect goes... It's not much much different.
