Given their recent history, maybe we should regulate evangelical church leaders. Ain't that right, Ted Haggard?

That is your best effort??? I read what he was doing and what he was doing was attacking Obamacare. He points out that initiatives have already been tried to control unhealthy things Americans do under the auspices of Obamacare like fat, salt, and sugar intake. Plus weight and body fat measures. He just pointed out that since the gay life style causes so many health problems that the Obama administration undertake regulation if they wanted to be consistent. So it is very obvious that his facts (collected from other sources) highlight how hypocritical the Obama administration has become.

Try to serve up something better than slow pitch.

Yes, I know he was trolling but I enjoy humiliating him.
I listened to the audio and read the transcript to this. That guy is off his rocker and I'd love to know where he got his stats at.

Yes, Barton was saying why he is against health insurance reform. But there are thousands of ways to be against health insurance reform that don't create the phrase "regulate homosexuality". Huh...maybe that's the new conservative answer for everything?

Extend the Bush tax cuts for the most wealthy upper 3%? Maybe we need to regulate homosexuality?

Unemployment is too high? Maybe we need to regulate homosexuality?

Iran might be developing nuclear missiles to attack Israel? Yep, better start regulating homosexuality!

Gay soldiers are getting kicked out the Army because they violate Army regulations? Better start regul...oh wait. Doesn't work for this one. LOL

The conservative that I called a conservative is a conservative. Those mythical moderate, so-called centered conservatives sure are quiet. If they even exist at all. They're especially quiet when you point out the many, many crazies in their party. BTW, you and John Galt are on the same team. His far-right Tea Partiest kind overpower your wishy-washy I'm-a-conservative-but-I-call-myself-an-independent kind.

You know, let me try a post which may be on point with this thread. Regulating evangelical church leaders. Ok.

I wish I could find a link to this, but I promise, I read this in a dusty old book in the basement of a law school not in this state. It was a transcript of a discussion concerning granting churches a tax exemption. The exemption was granted to churches due to the idea that the churches would care for the poor and needy.

As we can see, very few churches do that now, particularly evangelical churches. Over the years, this duty fell on government. (Actually, government took it over to gain votes.) Now the churches use this exemption to build bigger and gaudier buildings, and pay nutjobs like this guy.

I respect groups like the Salvation Army, many Catholic orders, and some others who practice what they preach, but Good Lord, we don't need people trying to succeed Fred Phelps when he goes. It's rare when I endorse government regulation of anything, but this might be an exception.

Monger you have insulted me millions of times, but today you crossed the line and I challenge you to a duel. Unless you appologize for stating that Galt and I were on the same team, I say dueling pistols at 25 feet at high noon in the town square.
Be careful of people that bring pistols in felt lined wooden cases. Think AARON BURR

I am pretty confident JG will soon be cruising Coffeyville rescuing the damsel down there. Need to make an appointment for him to hold the targets. Just tell him any proceeds will go to the Tea Party coffers and he would do it.
