There was far more interest in Obamacare than was originally expected. The computer problems are being fixed. System people are working around the clock to resolve the problems.

There have been a LOT of misreported numbers trying to access the system. The reality was far fewer than first stated. The report for California was5 million and the reality was less than 600,000.
Not that it mattered, the system did not work.

Obviously there are some old, sick people rushing to get signed up and take advantage of the subsidies they are being afforded. Why wouldn't they take advantage of that? What really matters is the number of young and/or healthy people that sign up because the insurance companies have based their rates on the promise of the government to force the healthy to sign up in order to subsidize the sick. Eventually they will be pressured and forced to show us some numbers, but what they will never tell you is the number of healthy people that signed up. The rise or fall of premiums will be the only indicator we will see.

One could only speculate that it must be, however, an extremely embarrassing amount of people that have actually signed up and bought insurance or the MSM would be broadcasting the tally on a 24/7 basis. Hell, they would have a counter on the lower right hand corner of the screen where the shutdown is now. Seeing Kathleen go stammering, stumbling, and dodging direct questions when asked how many actually signed up should be a clue to anyone with a hint of insight.
