"If I knew then, what I know now"

"I wouldn't have signed the FISA warrant" said Rod Rosenstein at today's Senate hearing. As to the obvious follow up question "what is it you know now, that you didn't know then", the answer in so many words was "that the FBI had lied to me". Of course Rosenstein didn't have the balls to say McCabe lied to him, he said McCabe "failed to inform him". That's what you do when you don't want to lie I guess.

Rosenstein also admitted that he never fully read the warrant before he signed it, he "reviewed" it and signed it. I guess you say reviewed when you can't admit you didn't read the warrant but his excuse was again "I believed the FBI". Yeah, seems like there was a lot of that going on.

I believe the FBI when they asked if interviewing Flynn was to "get him to lie so we can prosecute him or get him fired". That I believe.

How Comey and McCabe could possibly avoid prosecution for this I do not know.

Folks should begin to feel nervous.

Unless Biden is elected - he will chop any actions off at the knees - or rather those who will be controlling him will do so - He won't have the mental capacity to find the bathroom. -

Rosenstein says he wouldn't approve Russia warrant now

https://news.yahoo.com/rosenstein-fa...043330959.html

Rosenstein's comments amounted to a striking concession that law enforcement officials made mistakes as they scrutinized ties between Russia and Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. But even as he acknowledged the legitimacy of anger from Trump and his allies, he defended his appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller to lead the probe and affirmed his support for the conclusion that Russia interfered but did not criminally conspire with associates of the Trump campaign.

The watchdog said the FBI relied in part for its applications on a dossier of information compiled by a former British spy whose research was funded by Democrats and the Hillary Clinton campaign. The FBI used the dossier even though agents were aware of the possibility that it could have been colored by Russian disinformation and omitted information that undercut allegations in the applications. An FBI lawyer is suspected of altering an email related to the application process, according to the inspector general.

Asked by Graham if he would have signed the warrant application knowing what he knows now, Rosenstein replied, “No, I would not."

Rosenstein is pathetic. So is Lindsey Graham. This was nothing more than a dog and pony show.

The list of more than three-dozen Obama-era officials refers only to those who requested to view the identify of unnamed Americans listed in foreign intelligence reports. Therefore, the officials weren't specifically requesting to "unmask Flynn," like Cruz claimed, because they didn't know it was Flynn who was named in the intelligence report before their request was granted.

Unless you're under oath where you have to tell the "whole truth".

Have you heard the phrase "politics as usual"?

The facts say so. And still using "yous"?

A transcript of Donald Trump’s meeting with The Washington Post editorial board

https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...itorial-board/

RYAN: Thank you… We’ve heard you’re going to be announcing your foreign policy team shortly… Any you can share with us?

TRUMP: Well, I hadn’t thought of doing it, but if you want I can give you some of the names… Walid Phares, who you probably know, PhD, adviser to the House of Representatives caucus, and counter-terrorism expert; Carter Page, PhD; George Papadopoulos, he’s an energy and oil consultant, excellent guy; the Honorable Joe Schmitz, [former] inspector general at the Department of Defense; [retired] Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg; and I have quite a few more. But that’s a group of some of the people that we are dealing with. We have many other people in different aspects of what we do, but that’s a representative group.

FRED HIATT, WASHINGTON POST EDITORIAL PAGE EDITOR: Do you want to start out?

TRUMP: No, other than to say, we’re working hard, I think we’re all in the same business of trying to make our country better, a better place, so we have something in common. I’ve been treated very, very badly by The Washington Post, but, you know, I guess — and I’m your neighbor, I’m your neighbor right down the road, in fact we’re actually giving a press conference there in a little while, I think your people are going to be there. And by the way, Bob Costa is an excellent reporter, I’ve found him to be just an excellent reporter. I should tell you, because I have to give you the good and the bad. Not that he does me any favors, because he doesn’t, but he’s a real professional.

Anyone remember Turkey? Why are they so important to this story?

Energy?

Or power?
