Meanwhile, back at the ranch... What the hell is going on in Sweden?

Looks like cradle-to-grave government support can't buy you peace:

FIVE straight days of rioting. Damn. The Rodney King riots didn't last that long.

I guess this was pushed out of the headlines by the Islamist decapitation of the British soldier. Otherwise it would have gotten a lot more attention.
Not even swingers can get along.
It's really pretty simple. The young workers are saying, "why should I work my ass off and support a bunch of old farts who lay around doing nothing".

As our population ages, we will probably face the same predicament.
Apparently, the point of the article is being missed.

It isn't lazy, young Swedes that are rioting. It is - of course - immigrants from the third world. Key quote:

"One expression of Sweden’s tolerant outlook has been the welcome extended to immigrants and asylum-seekers fleeing violence in countries like Afghanistan, Somalia and Syria. Around one in seven of its almost 10 million people are now foreign-born.
But many newcomers have been pushed to the margins, reliant on low-paying menial jobs and often concentrated in poor suburbs like Husby.
Unemployment among those born outside Sweden stands at 16 percent, compared with 6 percent for those born in Sweden."

They imported a bunch of unskilled, ignorant laborers into the country - none of whom know a word of Swedish. They fit in like a square peg in a round hole.

Now they are rioting.

Whether it's foreigners, migration within a country, or stratification within a city. Those two are almost always a volatile combination. When it is foreigners who don't speak the language--therefore often have less opportunity to see light at the end of the tunnel--it can be even worse.

So super liberal Bob Beckel was right, stop all immigration for a few years especially from muslim countries. He also said much the same about student visas.

That was the sad part, Beckel didn't really admit that it was liberal policies. He implied that it was a natural happening shared by both the GOP and democrats so no one, or their policies, could be blamed.
More on the Swedish mess:

Nice stats:

------------------------------------------
* In less than a single decade, the foreign-born share of the Swedish population has risen from under 10% to over 15%.

* Sweden's asylum seekers come almost entirely from very poor Muslim-majority countries, notably Iraq, Somalia, Afghanistan, and Syria.

- A broader study of crime statistics from 1997-2001 - that is, well before the recent immigration surge - found that immigrants and children of immigrants together committed more than 40% of all Swedish crime. In particular, immigrants and children of immigrants were five times more likely than native Swedes to be investigated for sex crimes, a rising Swedish concern.

Do you think they will ever put two and two together?
