Thinking of trying Huntsville.....

Im thinking of planning a couple days next week in Huntsville. Just curious where is a good place to stay? Are there any areas I should stay away from ect.....

They use to tell me stay away from Madison area but I've alway stayed at the LaQuinta in Madison ny the airport and never had any problems.

I would suggest to totally stay away from University Ave. That's always been a hot area. Madison is cool, depending on your volume, as long as its a reputable hotel. La quinta is cool for low volume in Madison. If you have high volume I would stick with the larger hotels, they are more occupied and busy with more people around so it is easier to be discreet.
