There seems to be an overwhelming conservative majority on this forum and most guys seem to be married and Christians. So what's up with that? How do you compartmentalize all of that? It confuses me.

I don't...never did. Didn't start the hobby until I got divorced. Never want to go through that again. So I bought a dog, a big screen tv, and found a few quality providers. Have everything a man needs.

I am conservative and it just goes against my own personal convictions to cheat on my partner. Buy hey, that's just me.

A Politician once told me that if I'm paying for it, it aint cheatin!

Same as Swarmy. Never hobbied until after the divorce, been single a long time now, and wouldn't have it any other way. I just consider it the "pay as you go" plan.

Retired from the hobby when I got married. So now I pay for sex the Christian way, house, car, etc etc etc.

Don't make the assumption that all conservatives are Christian fundamentalists. There are those of us out there who can and do separate our political, religious and moral ideals. Also, you may not be aware of everyone's marital situation - many of us are divorced or widowed, so we are not "cheating"; some of us may be in "open" marriages; some of us may be in situations in which your partner may be physically unable (for whatever reason) to provide intimate relations and have no problem with the hobby; and some may be in the hobby for their own personal reason. In other words, we don't have to justify our reasons for participating in the hobby, and I'm sure the providers don't care as long as the $ are there.

Just like the democrats struggle with leftists trying to take control of the party platform, republicans have the same struggle with evangelical christains.

I don't assume that most democrats are leftists...and it would be incredibly foolish to assume that most republicans are evangelical christains.

Yes, some mongers are hypocrites. I just want to know how they rationalize it. My guess is that they have personalities that are more apt to compartmentalize conflicting ideas. The same trait is a hallmark of far-right and far-left authoritarian thinkers.

I'm married and I enjoy a little company now and then. Why? My wife doesn't put out and hasn't for years. My arm gets tired.
