Awkward situation

I’m not sure how many computer nerds there are here, so may not be as funny as it is to me, but still thought I’d share.

I work in IT, and I was doing some network troubleshooting yesterday and texting with a coworker for some help. At the same time I was also texting with a provider I had never met trying to set up an appointment.

My coworker was asking me to run a command (tracert) that would let us know where a connectivity issue was coming from. If you run this command from one computer to another, or router or server etc the results will tell you how far it gets before dying so that you can narrow down where the issue is.

Anyway, he asked me “where does tracert die?”

And I replied “immediately. Just says destination unreachable”

I didn’t send it to him though, I accidentally sent it to the provider I was talking with. I apologized and said I didn’t mean to send that to her but didn’t think anything of it.

Having never met me though, and having no clue wtf that was discussing, she thought I was a cop and trying to trace her location and then refused to see me

Ultimately after a loooot of explaining on my end she hesitantly set an appt. Even after I was naked with my dick in her mouth I think she was still skeptical that it wasn’t a setup.

We wound up having a good time after all, but I can’t help but laugh at everything that had happened and how unlikely a situation it was.

I have done worse. I got one of those I'm whatever ho's cousin looking to make extra cash.. With pics. I meant to forward to my utr so she could check out, maybe set up double. Accidently sent to my 26 year old son.


Before the recent social I asked an attendee to send a pg dolled up pic cause I was in NM mountains and it gets lonely in the mountains. I accidentally sent to my 24 year old daughter. I texted her again told her it was supposed too go to her 65 year old stepmom who was in town buying fancy underwear - not to say anything cause step mom would be embarrased

I only have one hobby contact on my regular phone. Perish the thought that I ever get a message mixed up like that.

That is why I have two phones. NO hobby texting on RW phone and vise versa. What would have happened if you texted coworker a hobby question or comment?

I use a text app on my RW phone, so I’ve never had a problem mixing up RW and play texts, although I did learn to turn off notification banners when I wasn’t in play communication.

Was showing a coworker trip pics on my phone, she handed it back to me saying that it looked like the next weekend might be even more fun.

The text notification banner from an out of town visiting friend read,

“I’ll be in town, can you come fuck me”

Fairly innocuous, certainly could have been worse.

that's interesting. what is the name of the text app? i have used an app called signal for other nefarious activities. it erases the texts after a certain amount of time

I’ve used Texttnow, Textfree and TextPlus over my time. They all pretty much seem the same. I haven’t had any real issues with any of them.
