The Republican Senators are abandoning Trump. Fourteen were going to object to various states' electoral results. Apparently that's down to six now! Even Loeffler dropped out.

Trump's hold on the Republican Party, or at least the Republican Senators, is crumbling.

Voting for a president that would eventually lie to you is not unheard of. Knowing that he would lie to you because he has a track record of NEVER being "tethered to the truth", and then still voting for him is different.

The lies aren't the problem. Knowing he lies and still voting for him just because it pisses the opposition off is.
