Also thanks for the few recent replies. I just let it go. I did post a review on Google that now comes up when this clinic is searched for, so atleast anyone that searches knows about my experience.

Also texastush ... it was Paxil, not Xanax ... I've never taken that before.

Again .... thanks for your time and advice everyone, as always, your thoughts guided me in the right direction.

My best suggestion for you would be to seek out a primary care physician. I think that they would be willing to prescribe Wellbutrin on a 90 or 120 day basis, especially if it's a reasonable dose and you've been taking it for a while. Xanax may be a closer call depending on 1) how much your take; and 2) whether it's taken PRN or prophetically.

Just my two cents. Originally Posted by TexTushHog

I have worked in the health care field for a very long time and there are a lot of clinics out there just like the one you describe here. Can you file a complaint? Sure, if the medical board finds merit to your complaint they will investigate and the doctor could face anything from a warning, to revoking his licence to practice depending on the out come of the investigation.
As far as prescription renewals there are a lot of new regulations concerning how and when a doctor may write prescriptions on certain drugs. There are many drugs out there now that a doctor can only write a 30 day prescription and they must see you and evaluate you again before writing a new one, its the law. Most family practice doctors wont even write scripts for pain meds now, they will refer you to a pain management clinic.

It is their set policy.

Nothing you can do and filing a complaint will have no results.

They want to see you every thirty days to reevaluate you.
That protects you (Really padding their pockets) but that is what they will say.

My doctor wouldn’t give me pain pills when I fucked my back up.
I was going to my cabin for the weekend and I was in pain. They gave me three after I explained why I wanted them.

Getting any drug out of anyone is a pain in the fucking ass and I can see why people resort to street drugs.

My neck is massively messed up and I got a bad disk in upper back. My doctor says I have the neck of a 80 year old.

Can't get a pain pill from any doctors. It's bullshit. Advil is starting to not work.
I can put all in a big nutshell FUCK OBAMACARE!!!!!!

Damn. I forgot about this thread. I guess something good did come out of this because I have not taken a Paxil or Wellburtin for almost 90 days.

I am now 100% off all psych and sleep meds and I am doing great. I actually have been getting the best natural sleep I have had in years and my moods are very stable.

Honestly, I am pretty proud of myself!

Thanks again to everyone that cared enough to chime in!
