EAT, DRINK & BE MERRY

LET ME PREFACE THIS BY SAYING I REFUSE TO DO ANY DRUGS, AND I VERY SELDOM EVEN DRINK.

Is legalization the answer to the drug war? Would elimination of the illegal drug trade solve a lot of the violence problems? We have tried prohibition for 100 years with no success, perhaps removing the mystique of obtaining drugs is the answer. All animals will seek to get high, even elephants seek out a specific flower that ferments. Dr. Dean Edell in his book "Eat, Drink & Be Merry" documents this natural tendency among all animals. Legalize all of it! Put the Cartels and other organized crime out of business. We waste way too much £££ on housing criminals who only have petty drugs arrests. I'm not a maths professor but, isn't that a bloody waste of governmental resource?

Colorado made pot legal, but still has trouble with cartel run shops.
