Any suggestions I am going there for personal fun and also to play around the 22nd or 23rd
I would like to be within 20 minutes of Channelview . any suggestions or Areas to avoid

Bay town ain't too bad(opinions may differ) Channelview has some rough spots,stay out of Cloverleaf off of I10 and market st. Be safe and stay aware your surroundings.
You'll fit right in, in fourth ward
I am not as familiar with the east side. I was going to suggest Baytown as well. It is growing over there.

I'd just suggest avoiding Houston as a whole. It's a really dangerous place. You know sanctuary city and all.
