My favorite bar in Toronto

It's a trendy dark location, relaxed and sophisticated, with a FANTASTIC drink menu - a particular treat for fans of Absinthe.

The drinks are complex, creative and take creativity and knowledge to prepare. An experience not to be missed!
This place looks amazing. The website has an old Hollywood theme happening. I love this era, everyone was always dressed impeccably and exuded elegance and glamor. Some of my favorite actresses from that period was Dorthy Dandridge, Sophia Loren and Lena Horne simply exquisite. I can see them now sipping on the "Lavender Caipirinha" this mix sounds delicious.
I have been there a few times. It is a pretty cool place and the way they prepare the drinks is great.
I just found out that I will be visiting Toronto next week. So, any suggestions on what part of town I should stay at?
It can be difficult to get around in Toronto due to traffic. There is lots to do and see in the downtown core and it is well serviced with public transit, and most things are within walking distance. But if you have to be in the suburbs each morning be prepared for an hour or more commute.
Downtown core is most convenient. - Subway, street cars and taxis make things quite easy to get around. There are quite a few hotels to choose from on King Street, Front Street, Adelaide Street and York Street. Yorkville is another option 10min drive north of downtown -with a few nice hotels and some good restaurants. Lots of choices. I guess it depends on what you want to be close to while you are here.
Thanks for the info Arianne and Terbul.
I want to be close to the some good restaurants, clubs and also strip clubs, which by the way I would like to get some recommendations on as well.
Then downtown would be your best bet :-) - The Soho Metropolitan, Fairmont Royal York, Hilton, King Edward Hotel, 1 King West Hotel and Suites, are all close to good restaurants and the two downtown stripclubs - For Your Eyes Only (King St West) and The Brass Rail (Yonge St near Bloor)
Happy 24 May Long Weekend everyone!
