False Updates

Recently I've noticed that on occasion the member and time of a post that you see before opening a thread , is not actually even a post made on thread . Recently saw one it said Iron Butterfly posted at 7: 50 pm , open thread and last post is by fun2come and not at that time . ( this is an example , not the real post ) . I thought hey maybe there's a delay , click it later , and Iron Butterfly had never even made a post . What's going on here ?

I sent you a pm Space with screen shot example , but can't post because of origin .
Newest example SL made no post to this bullying thread at 9:15 .

SL's post finally popped up at 11:30 when Whispers posted .

It might not be eccie, it could be your computer and/or browser.

The next time this happens, try a "hard refresh." That's ctrl-F5 on Firefox and some other browsers. Then try clearing your cache, logout and log in, changing browser, burning your computer, etc.

Also try switching between www.eccie.net and eccie.net. Once may be cached and the other might not be.

There's also the possibility your ISP is playing fast and loose with caching web pages. Sometimes these don't refresh properly and you can't get the "real" web page no matter what you do.
I've done that GG . Waiting on official word I was thinking something like that could be a possibility .

RR, there is a problem with Eccie and recognizing (displaying) a new page.
Happens to me all the time.
Workaround is to change the "Edit Options" entry "Number of Posts to Show Per Page" to something else and save. Then, of course it will happen again eventually under that setting and you change it again.
You are on a 40 posts per page, change it to 30 and you'll see that latest #40 or #80 or whatever post. At #120 not sure what would happen.

Once there is more than 1 post for "your" new page it somehow recognizes it.

Quite annoying but not as annoying as some other things on Eccie.

P.S. Apparently, my posts can be quite sticky.
