Cats or Dogs

I have had three great dogs in my life and I always considered myself a dog man. Then my daughter was adopted by a cat and I put up with it for her. Now a stray cat has attached itself to me because I made the mistake of giving it some water.

I hate cats! Dogs are what I love; but now I am forced to have to work around the cats if I want a dog in my house.

I'd just assume, let let them work it out, but I'm considered a barbarian for thinking that way.

How the hell does a dog man work his way out of a cat world!

I used to be alllll dog,but now I'm in the middle. Cats take a little more courting, but they're worth it when you get to know 'em.
I'm a dog guy too, but I had a cat when I was in college. He came with a basement apartment that I rented to keep it free of mice. That was one mean sob. He used to swagger down the street snarling at dogs.
Mark this day--I agree with PJ.

Cats being afraid of dogs is an urban myth. The dynamic usually goes like this: the dog growls at the cat. The cat takes a swipe at the dog's nose with his claws. The dog thereafter gives the cat a wide berth.

[If the cat has been declawed, he uses his teeth. Same effect.]

Cat person here! Dogs are too jumpy, noisy, sloppy and licky for my tastes. "Cats make you work for their affection (Robert Deniro)."

I'm in the middle, I like yard dogs and house cats. Although house cats need to be mousers and they have to have attitude. Lap dogs are nothing more than a cat in disguise... Big yards and Rotweillers make for great times
