Provider no show

What is the appropriate action on my part if a provider fails to follow up on a scheduled meeting? I attempted to have a meeting with a provider in St Louis at 11:00am today. The meeting was setup through email and eccie pm and was scheduled on 12/15 for today. The provider said she would send me her address this morning. At about 10:15 I hadn't heard anything, so sent an email and received a response saying she would be with me shortly. At about 10:50 I sent another email asking what part of St Louis to go to and received no response. Now nearly an hour after the scheduled meeting I've still received no word and now I can't meet with her due to my schedule.

Her website says that there is a cancellation fee, but she cancelled on me by missing our appointment, right? Am I under any obligation? Should I leave a review describing my experience? I am a very infrequent hobbyist, but as far as I know I have a good reputation and would like to keep it that way.

If there was no meeting you can't do a formal "review". What most do is just post in the COED section that this provider did a NCNS (No call No Show) on you. If you put a review up, the Mods will move it to COED.

Unfortunately, those with cancellation policies want you to value their time more than they are willing value yours in return.
Unfortunately, you have experienced the dreaded NCNS (No Call No Show). If you are lucky, it will be the last one, but the odds are these days, it won't.

FSN is correct, if you submitted a review, the submission would be moved to the Coed Discussion forum because no meeting took place and of course, no PA credit would be given.

Creating a thread in Coed does warn others about the provider's behavior, however, nothing is accomplished if you don't post her name.

Please note that life does happen and there might be a reasonable explanation for why she missed the apppointment. As such, common courtesy suggests you wait 24-48 hours before naming the provider in order to give her a chance to reach out to you and explain why she missed the appointment. Some members don't care to wait and do as you did, post a notice with the NCNS and name the provider within minutes or hours of the missed appointment. It is your choice.
Sorry to hear that happened. I've been there once myself and didn't hear back from her until a week later. She had an excuse which seemed questionable, so needless to say I haven't seen her again.

She clearly cancelled on you by NCNS, so I wouldn't worry about the cancellation fee. I know I wouldn't pay such a fee under those circumstances.

I would suggest waiting a few days and seeing if she gets back to you with an explanation on what happened before posting anything. It is possible something happened out her control, its possible. Things happen but these days with texts, text app, and almost everyone having mobile email not letting you know there was a problem before just disappearing is a problem.

If you want to post something my suggestion for that would be to post something in Co-ed following the basic format of the reviews here so that there is usable info provided. Just saying "Sally NCNS showed me" might make you feel better but won't help others much if contact details, ad links etc are not included.
