Chama Gaucha... Even though I know red meat is not really good for me. Lol, I can't help it. I don't really drink, but I really like the tasting room. I love cheese . Nice atmosphere. Nice crowd. Live music sometimes. Mona Lisa is nice, but music is too loud.
I love TAO downtown in NYC. They have a great bar which brings in a lot of high end potential clients plus the food is delish. The plaza hotel is also another lovely hotel with a nice bar. There are many spots around the financial district in NYC which are wonderful for Happy Hour. One of my fav brunch spots is Normas inside of the Le Parker Meridien hotel.

Dallas - Fearings, Steel, Jaspers, Nobu, Pappa's Bros., Capital Grille. I don't drink but their bars seem to do pretty well. I actually like the Rodeo Bar at the Adolphus. Great atmosphere. Great chowder.
Strip Clubs!!! The St.James (Church) of course...and new favorite is Sunset Strip 290 & Mangum...both have menu, lunch buffet, "traffic time" buffet which is FREE and dinner!
My fav restaurants are in Dallas, Al Biernats, Abacus, Nick and Sam's, Truluck, etc.
Philly - Buddakhan....though I'm sure it's no longer as good as it was when it used to visit it years ago.

DC - Vidalia. Again I speak as someone who hasn't been in far too long.

San Antonio - Chama Guacha. Mainly for the always amazing service.

If this is meant for Texas restaurants, I apologize in advance....I enjoy some of the downtown Houston steak houses, but the restaurants that have made an impression:

1. Peppercrab: Fantastic restaurant in UAE. I think that the region makes a hobby out of criminal wastes of money.

2. Four Seasons Amman - Breakfast here was amazing every day, with private dinners being served by Chefs flown in from around the world to give private dinner parties - I stayed here for a month or two. I'm not as thin as I once was, and this is part of the reason why.

3. Seattle SkyCity. Dinner from far above the peons below.

I've many more, but the list would get long. I'd say those are my top three.

When visiting San Antonio, the best upscale and intimate restaurant is Gwendolyn. Amazing every time.

My perfect dinner broaches a scattering of regional and ethnic cuisine, which you can't really find in good quality at any given restaurant. But on a cruise ship!!! Think of an all-inclusive dinner package, so you can eat anything you want, when you want it.

-Starting at a hibachi grill for a cup of pepper soup...
-Wandering down the deck to the french restaurant for two escargot and a bottle of wine...
-Into the Italian restaurant for antipasta...
-Off to the steakhouse for a steak, where your wine was delivered when you finished with it earlier...
-And finally into the Brazilian steakhouse for a slice of cinnamon-dusted, roasted pineapple for dessert.

Or into the main dining room to feast with the commoners.

mmmm....I could talk for hours about the various tasty things I've eaten around the world, and some of the cultural differences that make why and how you eat them unique. Place settings in traditional Japanese restaurants, and who talks to whom at the table and under what conditions...middle eastern community plates, and who eats from it in which order...

I enjoy trying new things!
