How do I remove my old threads I don't need?

Once you post, it stays there, and cannot be deleted.

As far as I know there isn't a way to do this unless you do it within the first couple of minutes with the "edit" button. Once the edit button is gone there isn't a way to delete it.

It doesn't work that way.
