Truth is a defense to libel and defamation

See when you don’t tell or promote a lie, libel and defamation suits get tossed out. When you make statements that are true, you don’t even have to worry when someone claims they’re gonna sue you.

Devin Nunes sued Esquire Magazine for an article which stated that his family farm used undocumented workers. Now, Nunes claims that is untrue and such a statement defamed him.

In a court with a Trump judge (since the likes of Tiny believe that if only a Trump judge was in charge the Republican would get a fair shake), the judge, repeat a Trump apponteee said "the assertion that NuStar (Nunes’ family farm) knowingly used undocumented labor is substantially, objectively true." In other words the FACTS (not some bullshit - it’s a matter of point of view, alternate facts or spinning facts or whatever else y’all come up with) support a finding that the farm used undocumented workers” hence out goes your lawsuit.

See, if Fox had some truth to rely on, they’d have gotten the same result that Esquire Magazine received. Instead, the judge in that case found that there was no FACTS presented by Fox (in fact they didn’t even make the assertion that they were telling the truth) to support anything they were selling the suckers (viewers for the uninformed).
