Face photo or Not

I have been told a few reasons for showing a face photo and some reasons for not showing.
Since, I live in a small town and my family knows about my activity, I show my face so there are no surprise attacks or embarrasing situations....lol
Being blessed with an non judgemental family has good points.
But it would be educational to know most of the pros and cons of both view points.

I have friends in a lot of places and when a provider tours it is not a good thing to show your face these days in my opinion..Most touring ladies do not, Sure it was all good 5 years ago but now hotels look for escorts checking in. Leo has the positive match to book you and for those families that do not know about extra activities in our lives, The only peace of mind we can hold on to is denial and the comfort of knowing at least our face wont condemn us in the future. Once its online it never goes away!
I used to show my face but it started making me paranoid that people were recognizing me so I stopped. I recently "came out" to my family so I don't have that hanging over my head anymore but when you're doing anything that the community you have to live in doesn't approve of IMHO it's always best to hide your face and real identity as much as you can. You don't want to limit your future because some small minded jerks feel their way is the only proper way to live life.
Thinking about blurring out my face photos when I travel. thanks chrissy.
good points everyone

Even if you take down your ad it does not mean that someone did not copy and paste it. It may appear at a later date and go badly for you.
ohhhhhhh ,its a good thing I change my look every three months.

Some of you know her, but there is a lady who lost her part time day job because a coworker found her escort picture online and showed her boss. She blurs all face pictures now. As someone said above, when you hit that send button, its out there FOREVER !!
After seeing one girl with smoking hot body pix and then getting there to see a smile like a jack-o-lantern, I only see girls with face pix. Nothing against y'all who blur for security reasons...but that's why I personally don't see blurry faces. So there's a "con".

As a hobbyists its not the end of the world to see face blurred or cropped to show just bottom part, I think most of us understand. LE is slow, but eventually even they get handed resources. Unfortunately, more than ever pics are being stored and cataloged, so if you ever one day dream of having your privacy back then the time to start is now. I know some may think its an over reaction, but one day you may appreciate having taken the time to cover a few distinguishing tats and such. It's not even about family and community, its giving up not your privacy now- but for always. I think most understand the changing world, anyone notice a drop in biz from blurring face? I'd bet not.
I just spoke to a gentleman today on this subject and he says if the lady is traveling he doesn't see a issue with her showing the face but around your home town is a different story.
It seems to be a different reason with different providers. some say for safety, some say for privacy, some don't want embarrasing moments on meeting someone they know so they do show their face, so many diffferent reasons.

Same boat with Reya I started out until I thought people were recognizing me. I didn't and haven't come out but a relative of mine (I think jealous of where my newfound money, gifts given to others, other nice things, etc) I find out later who got into my computer one day (THE ONLY day I didn't lock it) while I took a nap asked me out of the blue one day if I knew what backpage was and they essentially stalked me online and tried to out me. And my face was unblurred completely....not the eyes, upper half of my face, none if it was cropped etc. And after that little scare I began to blur eyes but I think that might not be enough now....need to find some kind of program where I can lightly blur my whole face (idea of cropping out part or all of my head seems weird).

Most of my family except the relative that knows has this rather goody image of me lol...i'd sort of like to keep it for a while.
