How Important do you think Reviews of Providers Are?

Ok I am going to put this out there more just for opinions then anything else.

Providers How important is a review good or bad to you? Do you think a review helps or hurts your business? For those who have a "normal life" outside of the job do you worry about a review giving away your true identity?

Guys How important is a review to you?

Just curious as to everyones opinion.

As for me I ask that reviews except on escorts.con( I feel safe there) not be posted. While it has been proven to increase business the risk of my true identity being revealed is too great for me.. Its simply a risk I dont want to take. My regulars coming back time time again are enough...

Look forward to reading your opinions

There are several reasons, not all of which I'm sure I'll include in the first first response.

1. Research - Especially when one travels quite a bit and the locals aren't known is essential to provide a good experience since it requires the use of two limited commodities - time and money. The attitude, menu and location preference of the provider is important to know for both parties to have an enjoyable experience. For example, Kitten, I haven't seen you and because of your review policy all I know about you is a) your're apparently legit by virtue of your presence here and comments from other guys; b) you have above average intelligence since your posts are generally well thought out; and c) providing your avatar is you, you have big tits. Beyond that, I don't know much about you.

2. Safety Knowing your legitimate and are discreet about your incall location is nice to know. Probably not a good idea for me to see you if your incall is in a high traffic location around the corner from my wife's office, especially when I drive a bright red car.

Safety is also an important issue when traveling and the review boards (every region has boards that are stronger in that particular area) provide solid information about the locals. I for one have been out of town without previous research and have been the subject of a Backpage or Craig's List ripoff when I have hastily allowed the little head to do the thinking. Almost every bust I've seen on the local out of town newscast has had the reporter detailing his research of the Backpage and Craig's List sites.

3. Menu Pardon me for my thoughts not being organized, but I suppose Menu is really a sub-set of Research. It's important to know what to expect. You've seen Grip's (or Mr. Starfish) post about Greek. Obviously that's important to him (LOL) just as a CBJ is usually a deal killer for me.

4. Source As there has been some discussion in the review section here, it does provide a level of comfort knowing review(s) have been written by well established hobbiest. The viewpoint is usually more objective and doesn't have the cast of someone who's fallen in love with their latest provider experience. So this won't be misunderstood, I want to be clear that reviews by newbies or experienced hobbiest who have been board lurkers also provide useful information. The "glowing report" review that goes on and on just smacks of a) the provider putting them up to it or b) the infatuation of the reviewer and the inability to separate passion and the illusion of passion.

I'm sure there are more reasons, but you've made my head hurt on Saturday. I wasn't planning on thinking today. So, I'll climb down off my soapbox and wait for other comments.

very important. I have not seen providers, that I would have, because of a review. On the other hand, I can't wait to see someone because if they have several consitent reviews of services that I like, that is where I'm going.
Sorry Ark I wasnt trying to make your head hurt on this dreary Saturday lol My avatar is me and whether those DD are all mine and all natural ( Ark I do allow reviews to be put up on escorts.com. Check my ads out for the link just as you do I have to be careful though. As I said its just where I feel safe and where I feel my true identity will not be revealed. If that makes any sense ). With that being said I do see and understand both yours and Bims point of view. Which brings me to the next question .

Is there a safe way for a hobbyist to put a review up that will not risk the true identity of the provider? The reviews I have seen of other providers seem way too revealing and in some ways risky at best.

Play safe and have a fun weekend
Reviews are so important. at first i didnt think so, till i went against a review and thought she cant be that bad. well i got screwed not in the good way. Since then. Review is everything. esp like said above. when u have reviews from well verified hobbyist like we have here and from the old site. i wont go to a provider without a couple of good reviews. I took my turn toftt and it didnt turn out well either. ha ha so now I am a hear the good word go to the well reviewed. just my 2 cents.

I'm not a frequent hobbyist and when I do, am discreet, quiet and don't post reviews.
Lurk a lot to see what others say, (especially now with other board down) comments/research about ads on CL/BP etc.

In order to see reviews and contact info on a site like Escorts.com you have to be a paying VIP member. As I said earlier, time and money are two commodities that have to be spent wisely. I'd rather gather my research from known horn dawgs posting info about legit providers and spend the money on a bottle of wine and having a good time.

As for me, I would never reveal anything in a review - public or private - that would compromise a provider's trust or identity. You'll note that some reviews don't disclose a provider's phone number and/or other contact method if there's a specific manner how the lady wishes to be contacted.

I would think a well written review with the appropriate information would be much safer than an advertisement posted on BP or CL with photo and contact information. Either way, appropriate screening to make you comfortable is necessary.

TER and the other review sites have similar status that provides good intel.

I don't put much faith in escort.com reviews, because the provider can read them and comment on the reviewer. Most are very vanilla, because the hobbyist doesn't want the provider to call him out.
Reviews are very important!!!! So there is no mistake, let me say it again, reviews are very important!!!!

As a hobbyist, I feel obligated to do reviews to add to the KB of providers. I used to just write the review and post it. Now, I ask. If the provider says "yes" then I get a little detailed. Is the phone # OK to include? What about the URL?

Since I almost always choose an outcall, the lady cannot usually be identified from the location of the meeting.

On the ASPD board, I ran into a lady who had some of the best reviews I ever read, yet she was UTR. She had a handle, but refused to let her reviewers post even the basic information on how to get ahold of her. No pics, no contact info, no nothing. You basically had to contact the review poster and prevail upon him to forward your request onto the lady.

But, kittendd, I gotta tell you, my third trip into hobbying was with a CL provider. Called her cold. And I got what the CL reputation is, and will never again spend my hard-earned $$ on a lady for whom I haven't read a review. Granted, it's not a sure thing...I had an awful experience once with a well-reviewed lady. But it is like any large expenditure (yes, I call $$ an hour and up a large expenditure), I try to know as much as I can in advance before the expenditure. It doesn't ensure a good time, but it certainly helps me play the odds.
I think reviews are great... personally speaking of course. I see it as a way to advertise yourself, and possibly gain a few good friends, and not have to worry about the riff raff from callers on CL. and BP, Reviews work with you and against you. You have to use your gut.
Bim you are right an escort can make a comment on a review placed at escorts.com however with escorts .com the safety is that you have to be paying vip memeber as Ark mentioned.Which for the most part provides a safety net to protect the providers true identity. I for one encourage any client who sees me from escorts.com to post their comments and not hold back. Most providers will not comment on a review posted there unless its absolutley necessary. Charles and Ark if there were most reviews that showed the discretion that you both speak of then providers like myself who have the "normal life" wouldnt be so cautious of having a review written. Im sorry you had a bad experience from CL unfornately that does happen but that can happen anywhere on any board. Not all providers from Cl and backpage are like that. Some do care about providing a good experience for the hobbyist. I will agree that information is key for safety . I just think more discretion should be used aka that phone numbers etc should not be given out on open message boards. As far as contact information on bp and cl. If a provider is smart its a prepaid phone number forwarded to another number for her safety...
Rayne Im sorry but I think it takes more then gut instinct some days...lol Somedays it takes an act of congress and then some lol
That's what us providers are for... If a lady isn't smart in this, she will get caught up. Not only do you have to be cute, you must have brains. So I say post reviews, if the lady isn't up to par, she needs to step her game up. Then she wouldn't have to worry about the client posting anything bad... case closed. There is a risk in anything you do, just be careful...
