Israel had some strict gun control laws. they had to change it in light of the knife intafada attacks last year.

some inconvienent facts for the antigunners.

Erdan explained that “civilians well trained in the use of weapons provide reinforcement in the struggle against terrorism”, while Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat called for every resident to carry a gun, and was even photographed traveling the city carrying a Glock 23.

You do understand that the majority of their citizens have military training. Maybe when Mexico starts fighting back for their former territory you'll have a point.

I think the take away here is that a country with strict gun control, chose to arm it citizens to allow them a chance to defend themselves.

France, more recently after the 2015 attacks, also began allowing off duty officers to carry.

Legislators here, instead want to further restrict lawful people. It gets votes but doesn't solve the problem.
