The RIAA and MPAA have spent millions on this already and haven't really put a dent in the problem, just made people more careful and harder to track/catch.

As a web designer, I've received notices from photogs for clients of mine who cropped off the photog's watermark (not knowing that you're not supposed to do that). And now we have these new online image finders that make it infinitely easier for photographers (or providers) to track unauthorized usage of their photos. So you can still chance it if you want, but don't assume that it's difficult for them to find out, because it's really not anymore.
I doubt any photog is going to send DMCA takdown notices to ECCIE or providers, but the providers might burn a bridge if the photog doesn't like the edit job done to the photos, or doesn't like editing done at all unless he's doing it.
