Thinking About Visiting San Antonio This Week!

I'll be in Austin this week and have been considering swinging by San Antonio for a short visit at the end of the week! I would love some suggestions on where to stay and what there is to do when I'm not in appointments. I've never been to San Antonio before and would love any input! I'm super excited!

What is LE activity like in the area? What are some great places to eat? What areas of town are considered a no go?
