Infractions

How does one know how many infraction points they have racked up?

At the top right click on your name and there will be an "Infractions" tab. Click it and you will see a point total as well as a record of previous infractions. If your points get to 25 it's an automatic 90 day vacation.

I don't see an infractions tab when I do that, either I don't know where to look or I don't have any?

And if there is no infractions tab?

If you don't see an "Infractions" tab it means you don't have any. You'd have known it when you got one anyway as you'd have received a PM from the moderator staff detailing the infraction and the disciplinary action taken (warning or some number of points).

The vast majority of members have no issues following the guidelines and many have thousands of posts without a single point issued.

It's only a small minority of people who "test the boundaries" so to speak and ever have to worry about it.

I'd like to have my one warning removed so that my 'fractions tab will go away...
it's spotting my pearly white record.
