Obama Biden Campaign With Senator Who Thinks Rape is Funny

CuteOldGuy's Avatar
And you thought Todd Akin was a jerk. You're right, he is, but the GOP is avoiding him like the plague.

But the Obama campaign loves their Al Franken, who thinks rape is something to make jokes about.

From the article:

As New York magazine reported in 1995, from a writing session that the reporter sat in on:

Franken: “And, ‘I give the pills to Lesley Stahl. Then, when Lesley’s passed out, I take her to the closet and rape her.’ Or, ‘That’s why you never see Lesley until February.’ Or, ‘When she passes out, I put her in various positions and take pictures of her.’”

Maybe the Obama campaign should be a little more quiet about Akin, don't you think?

If you can't joke about rape, WTF can you joke about?

You do realize that Al Franken was a comedian back in the day. Not sure if you know that he was not running for office in 1995!

Damn you like to strech 6 degree's of seperation into a thousand!

So his former job shouldn't be a consideration? Since his former job was to make jokes about raping women, we shouldn't be concerned?

Hmmm . . . Then you aren't concerned about Romney's former job at Bain Capital? Or Obama's former affiliation with the New Party?

Nah. Doesn't matter. It was in the past. No need to be concerned about it now. Right?

At least Todd Akin didn't think rape was funny.

Akin is a slime ball alright

a slimeball talking straight down the republican party platform line

Well, yeah. Akin is a slimeball. But he doesn't think rape is funny, like Franken does. And the Republican stand on abortion is ridiculous, but this thread is about Obama campaigning with a rape joker, while feigning outrage at Akin.

It's hypocrisy on Obama's part, but you won't recognize that since you're a confirmed Obamaton.

Now I got a rape joke for ya:

A man and his wife go to their weekend getaway in the mountains where the husband likes to fish and the wife likes to read
the husband came home early one day from fishing and went to bed

the wife decided now would be her chance to go out on the boat and read

so she did

she didn't know the lake very well so she just layed anchor anywhere and began to read

along came a officer and told her "what are you doing?"

"reading" said the woman
this is a restricted fishing area"

"but i'm not fishing"

"that may be true but you have all of the equipment so i will have to take you in"

"if you do that i will charge you with rape" the woman says

"but i didn' touch you"

"this may be true but you have all of the right equipment"

Moral of the story is: never mess with a woman who knows how to read.

I don't think you know anything about Bain Capital, the business it was in and the companies it helped, like Dominoes, Baskin-Robbins, Staples, Sports Authority, etc. Even that steel mill in KC would have closed 3 years earlier if Bain hadn't tried to save it.

You get your bullshit from the MSM, and swallow it like a White Castle slider.

And I think Al Franken is a jerk, and was never funny, and should never been allowed to steal the election from Norm Coleman, who, like most Senators, was only marginally better. I have no idea why the people of Minnesota even made that race close enough for Franken to steal.

Franken made his career making fun of gays, rape victims, disabled people and the like. And now he's a champion of the "little guy"? That's horseshit. But that was just his "job". We can't hold his "job" against him, can we? But we can hold Romney's job against him? And Romney did a lot more for the country in his job than Franken ever did.

In fact, the country would be better off if Romney stayed at his old job, and Franken went back to his, and Obama went back to community organizing.

Is there any fairness in a system where a group of people can borrow a bunch of money to buy a company and pay themselves millions of dollars in dividends and fees, while the company itself ends up bankrupt and its employees lose their jobs, health insurance and pensions?
Can you imagine the owners then being celebrated in fancy society while the unfortunate workers are left to fend for themselves as the collateral damage of the system?

Welcome to Mitt Romney’s America. This is the true story of how in October 1993 buyout firm Bain Capital LLC, which Romney founded and ran from 1984 to (roughly) 1999, and its partners bought a steel mill in Kansas City, Missouri, from Armco Steel Corp. (AKS) for $75 million, merged it with other steel companies, loaded it with too much debt, paid themselves big dividends and ran the company into the ground. Bain’s behavior was all perfectly legal, of course, and many argue that this is an essential part of the creative destruction that is capitalism (except when there are huge bailouts, of course).

Fuc Bain Capital and any of their supporters. People like Mitt Romney are a curse on society.

Why so serious?

Well, hell!
Rapists are popular this year. Look who they're pinning their post-convention bounce hopes on... The rapist-in-chief, ("Better put some ice on that.") himself, Bill Clinton.
Now, there's a guy who knows a thing or three about rape!
That BJ was consensual....
