I was watching the news the other day and seeing that we are making news that FBI and the navy seals was hobbying at work down in columbia .

How do you feel that the FBI and the navy seal is making the news about there hobbying and getting trouble for it at work and making the news for it.. How do you feel if you make news for your hobbying while you are at work?

I read that no charges would be pressed against the military folks who decided to get some action. I thought they said they were marines, but I may be mistaken. And they may not be the same ones to whom you're referring. Personally, I don't have a problem with it. I don't think pay or play should be illegal in the first place, and what's the big deal if some guys seek some action in another country where it may be legal already? I know a lot of military guys who hit up some massage parlors, and houses of ill-repute (or awesome repute, IMHO!) while deployed overseas, especially in the orient.

With that being said, I don't know how to balance the fact that I think they should be able to pursue the local girls while still being on duty and representing the U.S. While I don't have a problem with anyone hobbying, if I had an employee who it was made known hired escorts while on a business trip, as a boss/employer, I would be upset I think. It reflects poorly on the company in the eyes of many and, in this instance, the company we're talking about is the U.S. government.
I believe I read they received administrative reprimands (Article 15, Captain's Mast, etc.) with two opting instead to go to a Court Martial proceeding in lieu of the administrative actions.

Okay - here is the article:

For the Secret Service and the high profile military like Seals, it may be embarrassing but for the Corps it's no shame. Overseas just about everybody played; just have to make sure you don't get caught
