The finger pointing and shaming while claiming 'family values' encourage these kinds of encounters. We have the Freedom to choose our own name. To dress in ways that make us feel comfortable. I stay disgusted at the idea that it is still considered ok in some circles to openly disparage and seek persecution for people whose personal life choices do not align with our own.

Good. These people should be openly mocked, and parents shamed, at every opportunity. If he got physical by spraying them with water he got the ass beating he deserved.
