an odd thought...

I know this question will date me, but I've been wondering about this for a while now. How did hobbyists and providers get together before the internet, other than agencies? If I want to know what other guys think of a gal, or if she's even legit, I can find out pretty darn quick on the web. But here's the thing. I keep my hobby to myself. I don't talk to anyone about it at all, and I assume most guys do the same. Someone is probably laughing at me right now, but this is a real question. Plus, it would be good to know in case the internet goes up in flames.

Kermit has discovered Ancient Chinese Medicine.
But to get back on topic, I remember the "glory days" of the LR Free Press. I used to advertise in it a lot for my photography business. I remember some of the ads next to mine were... shall we say... "suggestive"?

Suggestive to say the least. Two of my first three providers. It was all a shot in the dark as no reviews were posted and guys just don't talk about that among themselves.

I've taken a blind shot and just called an agency a few times in my past. You never know what you're going to get for sure, but you can be somewhat confident that they are real based on the agency's continued existence.... or, maybe I just like to convince myself of that.

In New Orleans , we had Gambit Weekly Newspaper/Magazine...... still do!

It is still a "Free Press" type rag.... local news, music, arts, entertainment, political commentary , etc....

Girls are still advertising on the back pages...... and I'm sure the ads work!

P.S. - Plus..... there have always been "houses" in New Orleans. . . . some became pretty famous..... they're still there!
